BANKS AND MUSHROOMS

Most of the world are unaware that mushrooms, which are a part of fungi, are the largest living group on the planet. The Mushroom is the fruit of the living Fungus which can be hundreds of square kilometers in size.

Without Fungi (mushrooms) the entire planet would be covered with dead plants and dead animals. The fungi decompose the bodies of plants and animals and turn the remains into fertile soil.

AMANITA — AN EXTREMELY POISONOUS MUSHROOM

Fungi are everywhere, hidden in the soil and only seen when one of their fruit, a Mushroom pops up.

In the ground, the network, or Mycelium, of connecting parts that finds nutrients for the network itself and the mushrooms, grow silently and extensively, and are totally invisible to the plants and animals living above.

The Mycelium begins when a microscopic spore is blown from a mushroom to the soil. The spore, like the egg of a bird, needs the proper conditions to grow. As a bird’s egg needs heat, a spore needs moisture and nutrition.

Both the bird’s egg and the spore have the genetic material to reproduce their species. The bird’s egg even has nutrients to take the embryo all the way to life as an individual. The spore of the fungi require help from its environment.

As the Western World faces an economic collapse in its financial and banking system, we can see that the analogy with mushrooms and their supporting mycelia is very appropriate.

THE FINANCIAL UNDERGROUND

When we see a bank or a branch office of a bank, we almost always have a positive thought: “I can deposit my money there, and it will be safe.” “I can pay my bills there. They give me checks or an internet account and send off my money to my creditors.” “They stimulate the economy! They loan money to businesses and help promote economic growth.”

All of this is true, but it is only a small part of the truth. Like the Mushroom, the Bank is simply the budding fruit. Underneath the Mushroom is a Fungal Mycelium; underneath the Bank is a Financial Mycelium.

Neither is benign.

The Fungal Mycelium is constantly searching for nutrition. It will decompose dead plants and animals; but, it will also attack living plants and animals.

MYCELIUM ILLUSTRATION

Every human and every living animal is covered with the mycelium of fungi. When the immune system of a human or animal is weakened, the fungi attack. Every part of the human body is open to the destructive forces of fungal mycelium.

We have all had rashes on our skin, especially as children. “Oh, it’s only a fungus,” our doctors have said. “You have ‘Ring Worm’ or ‘Athlete’s foot’ or, simply, a ‘Yeast Infection.’” “Take this cream and it will go away!”

But, people whose immune system is seriously compromised, such as with the HIV virus, find that they get fungal infections of the throat, the intestines, the lungs and even the brain. And these infections do not go away!

The world of fungi are helpful, but very dangerous. Thus too with banks and their underlying Financial Mycelium.

WHERE IS THE FINANCIAL MYCELIUM?

Like the Fungal Mycelium and the human body, the Financial Mycelium is everywhere. The Financial Mycelium feeds on money. Wherever there is money, you will find the Financial Mycelium.

Thus, you will find it amongst the public, amongst businesses and, especially where there is the most money, in Government.

In the public it invades their houses, cars and credit cards. In businesses it inserts itself into transactions with buyers and lenders, in IPO’s, in stock offerings and in hiring and firing.

But, in Government, yes, in Government, it invades the minds of all: Politicians, Planners, Buyers and Clerks.

WHEN THE ECONOMY IS WEAK?

When the economy is weak, like a patient with AIDS, the Financial Mycelium moves quickly and invades the public, businesses and takes over the Brain: Government.

LOOK AROUND!

The heads of governments in Europe and the U.S. are meeting daily.

banks

Their worries are endless: “Is the U.S. going into a ‘Double-Dip?’” “Will Greece default? Italy not pay its bonds? The Euro Zone break into shards?” And, in the U.S.? “There are no jobs!” “They’re foreclosing on my home! They took away my credit card!”

CONCLUSION

Life has a similar pattern wherever we look. Whether you are a Mushroom or a Bank or just a struggling Human Being, you must find sustenance for survival.
