ECONOMIC PARALYSIS — AN EXAMINATION OF THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
ECONOMIC PARALYSIS — AN EXAMINATION OF THE GLOBAL ECONOMY
PREFACE
As a person who has studied and practiced medicine, and also, participated in the formation and development of a foreign currency enterprise, I feel I have the background to comment on the world economy.
My approach to studying the world economy is through the eyes of a physician. I believe there is a natural similarity between the human body and its diseases and the world economy and its diseases.
The nomenclature and terminology is different, but the physiology and patho-physiology are approximately the same.
We can easily make analogies between the circulation of blood which carries oxygen and nutrients and the circulation of money which carries workers and production. All of the various functions of the body are seen in the world economy, and all the malfunctions of the body are seen in the malfunctions of the world economy.
It will be difficult for most people, untrained in the sciences of medicine and economics, to see the correlations, but they are there and with some effort, I hope to make them understandable.
I am motivated to make this experience available to those who may want some insight into the present day economic problems, because my interpretation makes me believe that the diseases of the world economy may bring some very undesirable changes to the people of the world.
For these reasons, I have written: “Economic Paralysis.”
“Economic Paralysis” will appear on these pages in Chapter form as it is written.
