EMPTY CITY STREETS
I live in a large Florida city and the streets are becoming more and more empty. This is happening all over America as people leave to go in search of work in other cities, other states and other countries.
Five years ago, in 2007, the streets of this city were packed with cars going in all directions. There were so many cars, that at night, I would fantasize that I was living inside of a living body, and that I was travelling in the arteries.
The red lights were Red Blood Cells, and the white lights were White Blood Cells and we were being pumped around the body by a gigantic heart beating somewhere off in the distance.
Almost all of the cars were huge in size. They almost all weighed two to five tons. They were at least four to six meters long. They spewed out tons of pollutants. They could easily carry 20 soldiers in full battle gear.
Yet, in the front seat, was usually one person, a man or a woman, talking to somebody else with a cell phone held to the left ear.
TODAY THEY ARE ALMOST ALL GONE!
Except for the rush periods in the morning and late afternoon there are very few cars on the streets. In the suburbs there are practically no cars.
The streets, highways and Toll Roads have all been widened and extended, at enormous cost. With the few cars using them today, they will never produce enough revenues to maintain them. The Toll Road owners are raising their fees. The local governments are raising their taxes.
FOR LEASE–FOR RENT–FOR SALE
On all the streets, new signs appear daily. Stores are empty and FOR LEASE signs hang in the windows. Offices are empty and the same signs appear on the front of office buildings.
Homes, new and old have Real Estate Signs, saying FOR RENT or FOR SALE. Some homes are boarded up to prevent entrance of drug addicts and other squatters.
In the past, FOR SALE signs were rare. Today, they are everywhere.
These signs can be found in the most exclusive and wealthy areas. In the poor neighborhoods there are row after row of “FOR SALE”, “BANK OWNED”, “SHORT SALE”, “AUCTION” signs on house after house. Every major building in the Downtown Commercial area has “FOR LEASE” signs over the list of tenants.
Retail businesses, wholesale businesses, professionals, repair shops–they are all leaving… And behind them, wondering where they can find work to pay for their own homes and put food on the table for their families are the old residents and the new immigrants.
Young men drive around with noisy mufflers and blaring Rap Music, looking for girls. But their cars are cheap and shoddy. The older people have left their monster truck-cars at home and are now riding bicycles.
The cost of gasoline has gone up and never seems to stop going up.
DISTANCES
Almost every city in America has been over-built. There are suburbs everywhere. Hours away from the centers of commercial activity. It is as though the City Planners believed that the cost of gasoline would be totally inconsequential forever.
Now, I drive the streets, day or night, and see almost no one. I now fantasize that I am in a different planet, not a living body.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The United States and all its cities are getting old and filled will parasites.
Like the end of the Roman Empire, a period of becoming aged, tired and weak, is entering what was once the young and powerful American Empire.
THE MENTAL SCLEROSIS OF AGING SOCIETIES
In Nature, all beings and all groups start their lives with growth, vigor and expansion. As time passes these qualities quietly go away. In their place comes confusion, irritability, weakness and finally, death.
Throughout human history, we have seen this sequence in every part of the world. Whether in Europe, Africa, India or Asia, societies grow with vigor, at first, and then lose their youth and vitality and creativity as the sclerosing effects of time reduces the flow of energy to the new leaves and flowers.
What were once idealistic young people, become hardened bosses and beaurocrats who want no new challenges and no new ideas and no-one that might replace them.
THE ENTRENCHMENT OF THE AGED
The aged become entrenched, and their only goal is the accumulation of wealth and the stagnation of society where they dream of ruling forever, almost always as dynasties, where their children and close relatives take on more and more power.
EDUCATED AND UNEDUCATED SOCIETIES
In the Educated Societies, such as Europe, the U.S. and former colonies, the same process exists, but hidden behind power groups who control the political parties and put forward Sham Leaders who look different but are only Paid Actors for the Real Powerhouse that rules their country behind the scenes.
In the educated countries, the people are fed a finely tuned series of lies that the people are eager to hear and totally believe.
Democracy, Free Elections, Human Rights, Representative Government, Justice, Rights and Freedoms of every kind imaginable, are some of the terms vocalized daily, minute after minute, by the Paid Actors and the the State Controlled Media. Even the State Run Educational Institutions voice the same lies.
The state schools indoctrinate the innocent and naive minds of children with a belief and a loyalty to a sham façade that hides a powerful and hardened group of rich and powerful men. Children grow up into adulthood believing a pervasive fiction that does not exist in reality.
Intelligent people in societies are well aware of these techniques!
Jews, Catholics and Educated Christians, Muslims and Asians, send their children to their own controlled Private Schools, where the children are taught to think rationally and are also taught to disregard the false doctrines promulgated by governments.
These children grow up to be adults who do not listen to radio or watch television. They read the books of classical writers and discuss world events with each other.
They are the ones who become Doctors and Lawyers and Accountants and Successful Businessmen. They join their own clubs and watch their governments closely. You can see them at Concerts of Classical Music or dining in the best restaurants. Their children also go to the same Private Schools.
UNEDUCATED SOCIETIES
On this Planet of over seven billion people, over 95 percent of these people are Uneducated. When a country is totally uneducated and also has a history of Aristocracy the citizens are in a state of slavery.
The entire continents of Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and South America are covered with countries where slavery predominates.
Of course, there are a few exceptions to this rule in all these continents. But no-one will deny that most of the countries of Africa are dictatorships. China, the biggest country in Asia is a dictatorship. The countries South of the U.S. are governed by the same people for the last century. Although the people Vote, the same group is always in power.
Dictatorships, hidden or in the open, can be recognized by the fact that 90 percent of the citizens live in poverty.
To see this scene clearly, look for countries where the populations do not live in poverty. These are the Former British Colonies, most Western European countries, and enclaves such as Singapore, Malta, Andorra and Liechtenstein.
The rest of the world is a swamp of poverty.
THE UNITED STATES AND FLORIDA
As mentioned above, societies start with vigor, creativity and growth. But, with age, societies become sclerotic and begin to decay, like all animals and all plants.
This is an inevitable process.
It is irrelevant whether the society is educated or uneducated, whether it has a facade of representative government or the face of pure dictatorship. It makes no difference whether in terms of material wealth, the population is rich or poor; over time, the hardening of the arteries of society progressively increases.
THE SPEED OF SOCIETAL CHANGE
The speed of societal change is determine by only two factors:
1. Numbers of the Population
2. Quality of the Population
NUMBER OF PEOPLE IS THE PRIMARY DETERMINANT OF THE SPEED OF CHANGE
A few in number and the events will go slowly. As more constituents are added to the group, activity increases and events occur rapidly.
The Roman Empire lasted 450 years. The American Empire only lasted 150 years. We see this always–with every formation in the Universe: Stars, Comets, Planets, Plants, Animals and Micro-Organisms.
The higher the number, the more energy is used and the faster all the parts move.
The Roman Empire went from a Democracy to a Dictatorship of Emperors as the population increased. The population of the Roman Empire increased dramatically in the last century before its demise.
The same process occurred with the French, British and Spanish empires. All these European countries acquired Colonies and thereby increased their populations. With the increased population came tyranny as the governments sought to control the additional people.
The United States was founded after the King of England sought to enforce harsh laws on the Colonists, most of whom had been loyal subjects prior to a move which would have made them slaves.
INCREASING THE POPULATION SPEEDS UP THE PROCESS OF TYRANNY.
QUALITY OF THE PEOPLE
The Quality of the components of any system is the next determining factor in the speed towards decay.
Stronger components resist decay and disruption. More intelligent, more educated and people with stronger character, reduce the speed of decay and the move towards tyranny.
Any living system, which is designed well and built well, will first flourish in the battle for survival, but, yet, will relinquish power slowly as the numbers become overpowering.
As we see in the United States, and in particular, in Florida, there has been an invasion of new people, most of whom come from countries where there is no education and where dictatorships, hidden or disguised, control the people. In Florida, this invasion took place in the last thirty years.
Florida went from being an empty state covered with orange trees in the 1970′s to a state filled with new cities, new suburbs, new buildings and a new population eager to live in big houses and drive big cars. The population of Florida doubled in a period of less than 25 years. It now stands at close to 20 million.
Most of the new population are immigrants from Latin America. Spanish is the Number One language in Miami and many other Floridian cities. The majority of these people who came to Florida are uneducated migrants who came to work in the once exploding Construction Industry.
Today, the Construction Industry in Florida is dead.
WHY ARE THE STREETS EMPTY?
In order to understand the metamorphosis of the State of Florida, from a thriving agricultural state to a Moribund Overcrowded State, we must understand a peculiar disease that is well known in psychiatry.
MANIC-DEPRESSION
The term Manic-Depression has been replaced in Psychiatry with the term Bi-Polar. It is very common for doctors, talking to each other, to call a particular patient Bi-Polar. This sarcasm is meant to indicate, that the particular patient in question, has very little grasp of reality and jumps rapidly from one unrealistic opinion to another.
A Bi-Polar individual is one who moves from a state MANIA to a state of DEPRESSION without any serious reason. Although the terms: Manic-Depression and Bi-Polar refers to individuals, they both can be used to describes groups or societies.
MANIA
When a Bi-Polar patient is in a state of Mania he is in a fantasy world where all things are incredibly beautiful. He may believe that he is infinitely wealthy and that he can give gifts to his friends of incalculable worth. Frequently, such patients have given away their entire life’s savings to strangers!
In the Manic Stage the patient may believe that he has immense powers and can create or build dynasties that are the most beautiful that ever existed and will last forever. It is not to difficult to understand that groups and even nations go through the same process of unrealistic thinking.
This type of thinking what is called a Boom in economics. It is a period when millions of investors bid higher and higher prices for stocks or commodities or real estate, believing that the asset involved will go ever higher in price.
In the last twenty years, the entire Western World was caught up in a wave of Economic Mania. The U.S. and many countries in Europe were certain that the prices for Real Estate would rise eternally.
These same countries also believed that their wealth would grow infinitely; and that, therefore, they could borrow infinite amounts of money and repay their debts with their future wealth.
DEPRESSION
After a patient has been in a state of Mania, he almost always falls into a state of Depression.
A depressed patient sees his entire universe as bleak and gloomy. The depressed patient sees no hope in his future. Often, such patients will commit suicide. Most of the time, they become recluses, hiding in their homes, not speaking to their friends or relatives, and frequently using narcotics or other stimulants to relieve their psychological pain. Eating is a common behavior for many depressed people.
In the economic world, we see investors leaving the investments of their own countries and turning to Emerging Markets as a place to invest their assets.
In their gloom, they also turn to the precious metals and things that are real, such as commodities, which they are certain will not evaporate before their eyes.
“GLOOM, BOOM AND DOOM”, a website by the brilliant Swiss economist, Marc Faber, has become a world favorite in the eyes of the millions of depressed investors.
EMPTY STREETS IN FLORIDA
If we think of their state of mind of the citizens of Florida, we can easily understand their reluctance to drive.
Millions of jobs have evaporated. Immigrants who have come to Florida, hoping to get rich in the Construction Industry, are without work and holding homes with mortgages they cannot pay.
The Streets of this large Floridian city are empty. They will remain empty until Florida becomes a natural agricultural state once again.
