Another Danish pharmaceutical company has withdrawn products from Greece in protest at the government’s decision to cut the prices of medicines by 25%

The decision by Leo Pharma to suspend distribution of an anti blood-clotting agent and a remedy for psoriasis takes Greece one step closer towards an all-out boycott by medical suppliers.
Kristian Hart Hansen, a senior director of the company, said the 25% price reduction would encourage similar moves in other countries with large debt problems such as Ireland and Italy.
THE END OF THE ROAD…
As I have pointed out in earlier posts, the Southern Europeans are living a life of denial. They want La Dolce Vita, and they do not want to pay the price.
Now, their governments are using a childish trick: Don’t pay the Doctor, and everybody will feel sorry for us. But, the Danes are extremely hard doctors and they have decided to take the unethical road. They are abandoning their patient.
This is a fight between the Greek Government and their European medical suppliers. This MAY cause the dissolution of the Euro as a common currency. The suppliers want their money. The Greek Government is saying “We will die first!”
Of course, the Greek Politicians will not die. They all have private insurance and the monetary means to get any medicine they need.
The poor Greeks will pay the price. We have two parties, both of whom are guilty of unethical behaviour:
The Medical Suppliers who are withdrawing their medicines.
The Greek Government, refusing to pay their bill, when they could easily get the money from their banks and their super rich citizens,
THIS NEVER HAPPENED WHEN GREECE HAD THE DRACHMA
The underlying cause of this Greek Tragedy is the fact that the Greek nation is tied to a currency it does not control: The Euro. Time to say Goodbye!
