SOCIAL UNREST GRIPS THE WORLD…
An exceedingly important new phase is entering mankind’s behavior, from China to the Middle East to Africa and the U.S.
The entire World is caught up in an Evolutionary Change.
The cause of this change is the new technology of communication–the internet, the social media and the cell phone. Everyone is able to communicate with everyone else– anywhere on the planet!
We are watching governments fall in North Africa, Africa and the Middle East. We are seeing the Chinese Government doubling its expenditures for police control of its citizens. In the U.S., Unionists and Tax Payers are fighting everywhere for their piece of the economic pie.
Politicians in Europe are running scared. The people of Europe are voting out governments that were in power for the last seventy years.
The people of the world suddenly have realized that political power is in their hands, and not in the hands of the aristocratic and corrupt politicians. All because of instant communication.
GOVERNMENTS ARE UNNECESSARY
This may sound like an absurd statement.
Who will make and enforce laws? Who will pay the armies and police needed to control violence? Who will build the infrastructure of nations? The bridges, roads, sources of water and other essential needs? Who will set standards for aviation, traffic and water navigation? Who will deal with foreign countries? Who will select judges that can solve difficult legal problems?
The Answer: The People will do it. Voting on the Internet, the people can decide all these issues. They can hire and fire the people who have the skills to perform these tasks.
Governments are completely unnecessary.
REDUCE THE SIZE OF COUNTRIES
Those people who gain from government money want ever larger governments.
We see the classical example in Europe.
From City States and Feudal States, Nations were formed. This happened in the 19th Century.
The Power Groups, the Politicians and the Capitalists all wanted bigger governments. They knew that bigger governments reduced the strength of the individual. The bigger the government, the more powerless the individual became in comparison.
We saw small feudal states become nations everywhere. The cause of NATIONALISM became a Cause Célèbre for all people. The individual, in his innocence wanted to be associated with the new names. Europeans wanted to be known as “French”,”German”, “Italian” Etc., and not as a citizen of a specific city.
In America, the 13 original Colonies joined together to form the United States.
Heroes sprung out of the wood work: Garibaldi in Italy. Jefferson in America. Bolivar in South America. Everywhere, leaders emerged to form nations in which the individual became a small fish in a sea of millions of fish where the Sharks ruled.
This was a great error in the evolution of mankind.
We saw this error clearly when in Russia, where the Bolshevist Government annexed every country in the surrounding area and formed the United Soviet Socialist Republics. A union that failed desperately.
We saw it again, when the European countries grew and grew under the banner of the European Union and are now floundering in an economic disaster.
Big is bad!
The Law of Diminishing Returns is a fundamental law of economics. As the size of a corporation grows, the economy of its units becomes reduced, as the cost of governing the diverse units becomes higher and higher. The costs increase because the complexity of the corporation requires more and more controlling units that are totally non-productive.
The Law of Diminishing Returns applies to Nations as well as to Corporations.
WHY DO GOVERNMENTS GROW?
Governments and corporations grow and merge, because the Power Groups in control gain more power and greater benefits. The larger a government or corporation becomes, the more easily it can defeat its competitors. Large corporations, run by Power Groups, change the laws of government by bribing politicians.
For example, in the area of medicine, where I have expertise, it is well known that only the large and rich pharmaceutical companies can have new medications passed by the FDA. The FDA is the hand maiden of rich corporations who determine which medicines are approved and which are disapproved.
There are many medicines in Europe and Asia that are extremely beneficial, but produced by small laboratories. These medicines have no chance of being approved by the FDA beauracracies.
Across the world McDonald’s, KFC, Wal-Mart and Starbucks put up stores, initiate marketing addressed to the illiterate population and destroy their small competitors.
Big is Bad, but Big is Powerful.
The quality of all big nations and big corporations always sinks to levels only acceptable to the least educated portion of the population.
As big nations grow, they indoctrinate the uneducated and unintelligent portion of their population with the beliefs that their big government is good for them and the world. Since the reality of big government is the opposite of these false indoctrinations, big governments must ultimately fail.
We are seeing that process of failure in the 21st Century.
NORTH AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST
Forty years ago, the Power Groups of the International Oil Companies and of Israel and the U.S., installed dictators across North Africa and the Middle East. These dictators were supported by the Oil Power Groups and the US/UK Israeli governments.
They were given military equipment to control their populations. Part of the oil profits from this region was recycled to the dictators to keep them happy and productive in the extraction of oil.
During this period of time, however, the population grew enormously, due to the fact that the Islamic Religion favors high birth rates. Suddenly hundreds of millions of hungry and angry young men were available to go on the streets and confront their leaders.
They were armed with a new weapon. The weapon of mass and instant communication, the internet and the cell phone.
These angry young men communicated with each other constantly. They learned where military weapons were kept. They learned that billions of dollars in payments from the oil companies and the U.S. Government were stolen by their leaders and sequestered abroad.
Their anger mounted and they were ready to die to take these horrible parasites from their social body.
Today, we see them fighting for control of their national wealth in countries where the unbelievably rich and powerful leaders had maintained control for centuries. The grand sheiks of Saudi Arabia are now quaking as their formerly docile servants talk to each other on the internet.
CHINA
China is no exception. Although the Chinese government is well aware of the shortcomings of its economic development, it is finding it necessary to employ police power to calm the dissatisfaction of hundreds of millions of Chinese who are not keeping up with the favorites in the major Chinese cities.
The size of the Chinese population is so great that inefficiency must predominate. The Chinese government is trying to overcome the discrepancies in the area of wealth, but that is an impossible task.
We are seeing a return of power to local populations so that improvement in their economic well being may occur. However, at the moment police power predominates.
Here is a report from Bloomberg:
“China’s Spending on Internal Police Force in 2010 Outstrips Defense Budget
China spent more on its internal police force than on its armed forces in 2010, and plans to do the same this year, as the government deployed security forces around the country to control growing social unrest.
China spent 548.6 billion yuan ($83.5 billion) on internal security last year, 6.7 percent more than budgeted and a 15.6 percent increase over 2009, the Finance Ministry said in a report released yesterday. Last year China spent 533.5 billion yuan on national defense, or 0.3 percent more than budgeted, according to the Finance Ministry.
The surge in public security spending comes as so-called mass incidents, everything from strikes to riots and demonstrations, are on the rise. There were at least 180,000 such incidents in 2010, twice as many as in 2006, Sun Liping, a professor of sociology at Beijing’s Tsinghua University, said in a Feb. 25 article in the Economic Observer.
Zhou Yongkang, a member of the Communist Party’s ruling Politburo Standing Committee who oversees the country’s security forces, said in a Feb. 21 article in the People’s Daily, the party’s official mouthpiece, that the government must “defuse social conflicts and disputes just as they germinate.”
This year, the government plans to spend 624.4 billion yuan on public security, a 13.8 percent increase from 2010, and 601.2 billion yuan on defense, a 12.7 percent increase, according to the Finance Ministry. The announcement comes days after hundreds of police deployed in cities across the country following an online call for rallies inspired by uprisings in the Middle East.”
We can see that the new uprisings are similar across the world.
PREDICTION
I predict that we will see power from the national governments pass back to the people, albeit, with great reluctance and, in many areas, violence.
But, one cannot erase technology. First it was telephone, then radio and then television. Today it is the INTERNET.
TOMORROW, THE PEOPLE WILL VOTE ON THE INTERNET AND GOVERNMENTS WILL DISAPPEAR.
