THE TAPEWORM DIET
The tapeworm, of which there are many varieties, was once used for treating obesity. The worm attaches itself to the small intestine and takes a large part of the nutrition of the host consequently then host loses weight. It is a very simple method of losing weight and is essentially very inexpensive.
In my mind, it would be an excellent alternative to “bariatric surgery”, which costs upwards of thirty thousand dollars, can easily kill the patient and changes the anatomy of the gastrointestinal tract radically.
No doctor in the U.S. would even dare to mention a “tapeworm” as a type of diet, because of the legal implications. Of course, the eggs from the worm could get into someone else’s food and then their intestine and we would end up with a completely thin population!
Washington and the pharmaceutical industry would hate this because their greatest sources of support and revenue lies in all the sick people with diabetes and heart disease who buy their medications and vote for the politicians who promise better health care.
If you would like to try the diet take a plane trip to the Caucuses area of Eastern Europe and eat some raw meat. Your probabilities of success are great.
When you come back and you are thin you might be able to sell the eggs which are found in the feces of infected people.
