THE TERM “TRICK”
Everywhere I look on the Internet recently, I see the term: “TRICK”: there is a “STRANGE TRICK†for removing belly fat; a “FUNNY TRICK†for saving taxes; a “WEIRD TRICK†for improving your credit score—and on and on.
Today, I received a copy of Dr.Mercola’s news letter. Here is the title of the lead article: “This 30-Second Morning Trick Can Profoundly Support Your Health”
Please note, Dr. Mercola no longer writes his own articles. He has a large staff of women that perform this task. He does write some of the comments. I am certain that Dr. Mercola would not use the term: “Morning Trick.â€
THE MEANING OF THE TERM “TRICKâ€
Definition of “Trick†by Wikipedia:
1. k/trik/
Noun: A cunning or skillful act or scheme intended to deceive or outwit someone.
Verb: Deceive or outwit (someone) by being cunning or skillful.
In other words, readers, especially American readers, are interested in deceiving others!
WHY?
I do not think people are using this term in Asian speaking countries. I doubt that the honorable Japanese want to “trick†their neighbors. This implies that the people of the West are interested in deceiving others.
The reason may lie in the fact that Deception is a normal part of Western Society! In the West, Governments cheat their citizens, Big Business cheats their customers and friends cheat on each other.
“Cheating†is so commonplace, that advertisers have acknowledged that they can get more customers if they offer the opportunity to “Cheat.â€
CONCLUSION
The West has entered an ERA OF DECEPTION. Tricking, cheating and subterfuge is rampant.
We saw it recently with the famous Murdoch Family who had the audacity to hack the phones of the Royal Family—and get away with it!
Today, in the West, almost everyone wants to cheat and trick. This is an ominous sign that Western Society is moving into a state of a moral vacuum, where anything goes and everyone must be always on guard that no one is their trusted friend.
