TIME FOR THE “E-VOTE”
There is a strange phenomenon in the World today. Communications between people are becoming ubiquitous and continuous. We are using cell phones and emails in a constant stream of talking across the world. Distances have disappeared. Languages are instantly translated. Ideas have thorough explanations on the Internet.
AND, YET, WE STILL HAVE AN ANACHRONISTIC FORM OF GOVERNMENT EVERYWHERE, WHERE A GROUP OF PEOPLE CALLED “POLITICIANS” WHO ARE PAID BY “BIG BUSINESS” MAKE THE RULES THAT DETERMINE PROFITS. IT IS TIME TO CHANGE THAT PART OF THE EQUATION. IT IS TIME FOR THE “E-VOTE.”
There is no need for “Law Makers” to make the Laws.
THE PEOPLE CAN MAKE THE LAWS!
Many countries already have means whereby the citizens can vote in mass to express their desires. We call these votes Referendums. Switzerland uses them more than any other country. But, they are available everywhere. At the moment, voters must go to a location outside of their home to “vote” in a “Referendum.”
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY CITIZENS CANNOT VOTE FROM THEIR COMPUTERS.
If we can Bank, Renew Licenses and perform every type of governmental function through the Internet, then we should be allowed to vote with our computers.
The Day of the E-Vote is here! We need to make it a reality.
